My door swung open and when I turned she was standing by the stair railing.
My head pounded slightly and my skin felt hot. She looked vacantly at me with those dark-rimmed eyes.
"Don't get lost in the dark again."
Before I could reply the floorboards gave way beneath her and she was gone.
