Willow Manor Ball 2011

There's a shindig going on over at Tess' place, and it looked so amazing that I thought I'd just have to join in!
This is my first year at the Willow Manor Ball, but thankfully she's served up a tray of Last Word cocktails as some liquid courage, and they sound divine; I'm making them asap!
Last Word Cocktail
2 oz gin,
1 oz green chartreuse
1/2 oz maraschino
1/2 fresh cut squeezed lime
shake
add a fresh bing cherry...for cuteness

Now I had a lot of trouble choosing my dress for the Willow Manor Ball, but no trouble choosing my shoes (Which I am actually intending to buy ASAP)

Now for those of you who aren't aware, I have a borderline obsession with the Wizard of Oz (And for those of you who do know, I just had a brilliant idea for another painting this week, hopefully it'll be started this time next month.)

And so I thought with such perfect Dorothy shoes, I had to bring along my little dog too.
Voila, my date;

And it wasn't easy to find anything to match the amazing shoes.
Really.
Anything.
So I'm going au naturel.

Not really;

Found here.

A bit of clash, but hey, there's some red in there, and I once said I was Queen of the Clash.

I hope to have a word with Anthony Hopkins later in the evening, I feel as though we'd have a lot in common.

Someone said Nigella's hanging around somewhere; I'll be sure to get a recipe off her for Phoebe.

The party is starting to go off, I best get back to the dancing, the Last Word Cocktails are kicking in.

Anyway, skip on over to Willow Manor and join the fun, or admire the madness.

WOW! that is the most crazy butterfly but brillaint dress. Hope you had a grand time!

Sorry I missed it al. Tied up in training.

Nevertheless, as a former contributor, wanted to tell you that I am closing Hot Toast and Jam so thought you might enjoy its last post. Please read to the end for surprise.

I will still be visiting just not as much (as if I have been that frequent anyway) as one might expect when hosting a personal blog, verses an art one.
