I stayed up far too late last night finishing a piece of art, but it's done! And now going to be exhibited this coming week as part of the Otago University Art Week. (Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo, but I shall take one on Monday and put it up for all to see.)
It's a bit plain, could probably have used a little something else if I didn't have a million other things to do, but I like it.

You'll just have to wait to see it and decide for yourself.

So at 3am, I finally closed my window (really had to air out the place, I was using spray paint for this piece, so there's a clue) and went to sleep, setting my alarm for the bright and early time of 11am.

I have never slept so deeply. (Hopefully not due to the paint fumes.)

And then, bam.

I wake up to a dubstep version of Harry Potter, followed by sirens and people yelling, "It's Carnival Day, everybody!"

I assumed that the noise was coming from The Boat (a rather raucous flat) across the road, but then the lovely noise marched right into my hallway.

All at the gorgeous time of 7am!

I opened my door to find streamers and lollies thrown everywhere, then promptly went back to sleep, pretending I could not hear dubstep (and reopening my window, and the spray paint smell wasn't totally gone.)

So when I finally did get up at 9.30, there was a huge bouncy castle outside and a candy floss machine!

So cute. I missed bouncy castles!

Oh, and the name of my art piece; And Your Little Dog, Too.

Bet you can guess the theme of it, eh?
