Rambling
I just met the friendliest possum in the world.
One thing you may or may not know about me, is that I'm afraid of cats.
So here I was, walking up the garden path, when I saw a cat wandering towards me. I quickly realised it wasn't a tabby, and therefore not the cat that lives at our college, and then noted that it seemed to waddle a lot more than a cat, have a bushier tail, and was approaching at speed.
Naturally, being afraid of cats, I stopped in my tracks.
I don't care if they're pests, possums are so cute!
So now, the cat that was really a possum, waddles up to me, and sits less than a metre away.
Neither of us move, as both of us are scared; him of my boots, I of his claws, though not as frightening as a cat's.
It took a minute or so for him to waddle around me, look at me a few times, hang around a bit more, then scamper off into the bushes as if he was pouncing on something.
I really miss my dog and my man.
