Damn right, it's a beautiful day.

I was flicking through the newspaper tonight and this immediately caught my eye.
They are tearing down the maltworks.
You don't know how much this frustrates me.
For years it had been left there.
Honestly, it had been abandoned since I can remember.
Why now?
Maybe I'm strange, but when I'm having a bad day, when everything gets too much, when I'm confused, I'll often go to the maltworks alone.
I took a friend there the other day and he said, "You really come here alone? I'd be way too scared."
I don't actually know how he knew!
I just explained that it helped me calm down and think.
No one around.
Just me, and sometimes my camera, and lots of awesome graffiti.
I guess it had to happen someday.
But really, it still sort of shocked me.
And then, in the article, it says, Wipe history: The historic Maltworks Factory in Heathcote Valley on Port Hills Rd, is set to be demolished within the next three weeks.
Well, this gives me a sense of hope and a sense of hopelessness all at once.
Historic?
Why, surely we can get the historic buildings associations to oppose this then?
Three weeks?
How on earth can I stop this within three weeks?
And all of the things I wanted to do at the Maltworks!
Film a movie, for one!
I have to get onto it.
It has to be done this weekend.
Oh goodness I've just realised this paper was out five days ago.
So little time!
And of course, my graffiti.
It's no secret that I want to spend more time on my graffiti.
And I've been to the Maltworks so many times, but my graffiti has never joined the others.
Again, has to be done this weekend.
And the tallest building! (Pictured, actually)
Twice I've walked to about the sixth floor, then turned back.
I'm terrified of falling, and the steps are very narrow and steep.
But now I have to walk to the top of it!
I cannot and will not think back to my teenage years and think that I missed out on a pretty awesome view and a great place to graffiti.
Anyway, some photos I took when I went to think things over there a little over a week ago.
